Areas were lifted to showcase dishes.We built ‘connectors’ between the tables to extend them into one long curved table.The table brought together 50+ neighbours.Artist : Ofayo “Everyone is invited for dinner”Guests walked up and down the table to interact with one another and to fill plates with the diversity of offerings.
The Long Table
To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of urban agriculture and collective artistic space, Losaeter. Wilder Kitchen was invited to create a celebratory meal. Inspired by the quote ‘when you have abundance you don’t build walls, you build a longer table’, we under went the process to construct a table that could seat more than 50 guests.
A winding table that was placed in the orchard of the garden, where all were invited to sit together to share a meal. The dishes based around the annual harvest of vegetables and fruit.
